  BEBULING STOLPORT, SPAOH, BETONG, SARAWAK
INFORMATION ON NEW STOLPORT UNDER DEVELOPMENT

1  INTRODUCTION

1.1 This Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) is issued to provide advance information and general briefing to aircraft operators and airspace users regarding the development of a new STOLport at Bebuling, Spaoh, Betong, Sarawak.
1.2 The Bebuling STOLport is currently under construction and is not yet operational. This AIC is published for information purposes only.
1.3 Detailed operational data, procedures, declared distances, and permanent aeronautical information will be promulgated through subsequent AIP Supplement and/or AIP Amendment, as appropriate.

2  NATURE OF DEVELOPMENT

2.1 The development of Bebuling STOLport comprises the construction of a new STOLport facility, including the establishment of essential airside and landside infrastructure to support future operations, subject to regulatory approval.
2.2 The development includes the provision of:
  1. A paved runway designed for STOLport operations;

  2. Taxiway and apron facilities;

  3. Associated airside infrastructure; and

  4. Landside facilities to support STOLport operations.

2.3 The facilities are being developed to support the planned aerodrome reference code of 2B, subject to certification, operational readiness, and promulgation through appropriate aeronautical information publications.

3  RUNWAY, TAXIWAY AND APRON INFORMATION

3.1 The planned airside facilities at Bebuling STOLport include the following:
  1. Runway:

    1. Runway designation: RWY 18/36

    2. Runway length: 1190 m

    3. Runway width: 23 m

    4. Runway surface: Paved

    5. Runway strip width: 80 m

    6. Runway End Safety Area (RESA): 30 m provided at each runway end

  2. Taxiway:

    1. Taxiway length: 185 m

    2. Taxiway width: 10.5 m

  3. Apron

    1. Aircraft parking apron provided to support STOLport operations

3.2 The above information is provided for general information and briefing purposes only and remains subject to regulatory certification and promulgation through appropriate aeronautical information publications.

4  AERODROME REFERENCE CODE

4.1 The planned aerodrome reference code for Bebuling STOLport is Code 2B, defined as follows:
  1. Code number 2: Reference field length equal to or greater than 800 m but less than 1200 m; and

  2. Code letter B: Aircraft wingspan up to 24 m.

5  TAXIWAY, APRON AND SUPPORTING FACILITIES

5.1 The development includes the provision of the following facilities:
  1. Taxiway measuring 185 m (L) x 10.5 m (W);

  2. Aircraft parking apron;

  3. Terminal building with passenger handling facilities;

  4. Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (AFRS) bay and quick-fill tank; and

  5. Ancillary facilities to support aerodrome operations.

5.2 Pilots shall observe local procedures and marshaller guidance during ground operations.

6  OPERATIONAL STATUS AND LIMITATIONS

6.1 At the time of publication of this AIC:
  1. The development works are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026;

  2. Regulatory certification and Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) activities will follow, with an estimated duration of four (4) months; and

  3. The aerodrome shall not be considered fully operational until promulgated through AIP publication.

6.2 During the transitional period, operational limitations, temporary procedures, or restrictions may apply and will be promulgated by NOTAM and/or AIP Supplement, as appropriate.

7  NAVIGATION, ATS AND VISUAL AIDS

7.1 Any changes to aerodrome control or advisory services, communication facilities, visual aids, lighting, or markings will be notified separately by NOTAM and/or AIP publication when commissioned.

8  FUTURE AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION PUBLICATIONS

8.1 This AIC will be followed by:
  1. an AIP Supplement providing interim operational information, declared distances, facilities, and procedures; and

  2. an AIP Amendment for permanent inclusion of Bebuling Aerodrome Code 2B data in the AIP Malaysia.

9  OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY

9.1 Aircraft operators and flight crew are reminded that the suitability of the aerodrome for specific aircraft types remains the responsibility of the operator. Performance calculations, operational approvals, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements shall be ensured prior to operations.
